Gabriel Voisin (1880-1973) is an aviator and one of the most famous pioneer of French aeronautics.
Voisin studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon and became an engineer. In 1918 he began his carrer building automobiles. Given his inventiveness, high standards and intransigence, he was soon primarily building luxury vehicles. He designed revolutionary new models and accumulated numerous records. In 1925 he designed the C11, a six cylinder engine, with an aluminum body, referred to as the "Lumineuse" due to its many windows

1/10th scale model made by Etienne Robial in 1980 using the nickel pieces of a Meccano construction game, brass gears and rubber tires. - pieces dating from before 1930.
It has a three speed gearbox, reverse, axle with differential, drum brakes, hand and foot clutch, rack and pinion steering, hydraulic jack, folding seats and a Meccano 110 volt electric motor.
The body including the hood can be removed from the frame with a single screw.
