Balmoral Castle has been the summer holiday home for the Royal Family since the 19th century.
In this rare footage from 1981, the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana held a press conference while walking the grounds of Balmoral.
His Majesty returned to Balmoral yesterday, where he was welcomed with a wonderful ceremony outside the castle gates.
