It’s been three months since Snoop Dogg revealed his custom golden WWE Championship belt had been stolen and now Vanessa Hudgens has turned up with the title. The hip-hop legend, who is set to be at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood on April 1 and 2, has been sent around the houses since the prize went missing on turn back in January. Since then, the likes of Pete Davidson, William Shatner, and NFL star Rob Gronkowski have shown up on social media holding the gold, but now things have taken a different twist. This week, a video of Vanessa Hudgens having her moment of glory, and couldn’t resist a cheeky High School Musical reference.
With three weeks left until WrestleMania, there is plenty of time for more twists, turns, and other big names as WWE edges closer to its annual extravaganza. Snoop Dogg himself, whose cousin is former WWE superstar Sasha Banks, is already on the poster for the epic doubleheader, so you’d expect he will be on hand to try and reclaim his property on the grandest stage.WrestleMania Goes Hollywood on April 1 and 2 at SoFi Stadium. The "High School Musical" actress is no stranger to sharing her love of pro wrestling via social media, whether it's WWE or AEW. She was backstage at "AEW Dynamite" just last month. In the past, Hudgens also attended several WWE charity events, including in 2015, when she was part of the "WWE Superstars For Hope" event in Beverly Hills. It's worth noting, the award-winning rapper and WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg is actually the owner of the golden title. Last August, "Raw" Women's Champion Bianca Belair, and Becky Lynch presented the title to Snoop at the WrestleMania 39 launch party. Though it wasn't long after, in December, Snoop announced that it was "stolen," while he was on his "The Holidaze of Blaze Tour."
Hudgens isn't the first celeb to share a video with the title either. Last month a video surfaced of "Saturday Night Live" alum Pete Davidson with the title, while Guillermo Rodriguez from "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was seen with it just weeks after it disappeared. NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders was also in possession of the title for some time as were Rob Gronkowski and another celebrity WWE Hall of Famer, William Shatner. It will be interesting to see if anyone else will be carrying the title before WrestleMania 39. Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an American actress and singer.
After making her feature film debut in Thirteen (2003), Hudgens rose to fame portraying Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series (2006–2008), which brought her significant mainstream media success. The first film's success led Hudgens to acquire a recording contract with Hollywood Records, with whom she released two studio albums, V (2006) and Identified (2008).Since the release of her studio albums and the High School Musical franchise, Hudgens has focused on her acting career. She appeared in the films Bandslam (2009), Beastly, Sucker Punch (2011), Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Spring Breakers (both 2012), Second Act (2018), Bad Boys for Life (2020), and Tick, Tick...Boom! (2021). She starred in the Netflix Christmas movies The Princess Switch and its sequels (2020 and 2021) and The Knight Before Christmas and co-produced the latter three.
Hudgens played the role of Emily Locke in the NBC series Powerless (2017). She also played the title role in the Broadway musical Gigi (2015) and had roles in two of Fox's live musical productions: Rizzo in Grease Live! (2016) and Maureen Johnson in Rent: Live (2019). In 2022, Hudgens co-hosted the Met Gala in Manhattan.
