Avastin (Bevacizumab) is a targeted cancer therapy for various types of advanced and metastatic cancers, including lung and colon cancer. Considered an angiogenesis inhibitor, Avastin stops cancer from growing by cutting off the cancer's blood supply. Avastin is currently approved for treating 6 different types of metastatic and advanced cancers, including rectal and #coloncancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer, cervical cancer, ovary cancer and brain #cancer.
