Dr. Carol Christine Fair is an American political scientist. She is an associate professor in the Security Studies Program within the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Fair served as a senior political scientist with the RAND Corporation, political officer with the UN Assistance Mission to Afghanistan, and a senior research associate with the United States Institute of Peace. Her work is primarily focused on counter-terrorism and South Asian topics. She is a member of Women in International Security, International Studies Association, American Political Science Association, the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies, the American Institute of Afghan Studies and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies and serves on the editorial board numerous scholarly and policy-analytic journals.
