Another "Quick Pottery" Video. This time to show how I make a simple cup off the hump.
I like to make these small yunomi/wine/juice cups loose, and quickly off the hump.
Centering a small piece of clay from the larger lump of clay makes the process go a little faster when throwing clay that is a pound or less.
I want these cups to have loose gestural lines that show the movement, fluidity and the softness of the clay.
Each cup is a little different, with different marks and textures. They are made quickly so I don't feel they are too precious to have some fun with glaze experimentation.
Keep in mind this is just a quick video that I am sharing, no words, just simple and quick for you to get an idea of the process.
