In this video, you see the southbound Amtrak Coast Starlight train as it comes flying along the UP Sacramento Subdivision in Northern Sacramento. The Coast Starlight was running over 2 hours late at the time which is why it was light outside when it passed through here. Normally, the Coast Starlight is into the Sacramento Depot (a few miles south of here) before the sun rises. I was excited to here it was running late because it gave me the chance to shoot it. As the train came through, you can see Amtrak 184 (Heritage Unit) as the trailing unit. The extra coach cars in the consist were because of the extra Thanksgiving traffic. It sure was a busy week for Amtrak! Hope you enjoy.
