Story line:
" A strong blizzard has been going on for several days. The whole village was covered with a thick layer of snow, only the small glowing yellow windows of the houses indicated that the villagers were warm and safe. Snow fell about 50-60 inches, which was quite a lot. Mr. Wilson had finished clearing snow from the yard and paths so that he could move around the house. Then he went to the house where Mrs. Wilson and her grandson Richard were waiting for him to have supper together. Every winter during the holidays, little Richard came to visit them from the city. This winter was no exception and he came to them again for a whole month. Mrs. and Mr. Wilson called Richard to the table, but he was nowhere to be found. Mrs. Wilson went to his room, as she was sure he was there. To her surprise, her grandson was not in the room either. On top of all this, Mr. Richard discovered that Daisy the cat and Oliver the dog were also not in the kitchen. It was very strange, since they often liked to walk around there when the owners sat down to dinner. The couple were a little worried, and did not know where their grandson Richard and their pets had gone. Their house was made of wood, it was very old, but warm and cozy. The house consisted of one floor and an attic where the Wilson family kept old things. Sometimes the attic was used as a room when many guests came to them, and it was necessary to place them somewhere for the night. The attic could be reached by a ladder from the back room, which was also rarely used. After Mr. and Mrs. Wilson searched the whole house, they realized what to look for in the attic. Mr. Wilson deftly climbed up the stairs, and was delighted. He saw a nice picture, a fireplace was burning to the left of the stairs, dog Oliver was lying on a soft rug near the fireplace, next to him, Daisy the cat was sleeping sweetly on an overturned basket, and their grandson Richard was sleeping sweetly in front of the fireplace against the wall on a soft bed. Mr. Wilson called his wife to look at it too. They looked at their grandson and their pets and smiled sweetly. They decided not to wake their grandson for dinner, so as not to disturb his sweet sleep, and went to dinner together.
The Wilsons realized that little Richard was playing in the attic, after which he fell asleep on the bed. This was not surprising since the atmosphere in the attic was very cozy and inviting to sleep. The burning fireplace made the sounds of crackling firewood, and the light sounds of a blizzard outside the window complemented this wonderful winter atmosphere with feelings of warmth, comfort and safety. After what they saw, the spouses were tormented by only one question: "How big and heavy dog Oliver climbed up the stairs to the attic?! :) "
