Can I grow fruit in the middle of winter in Utah? I have a huge dilemma… Should I heat my underground greenhouse or do I let the normal cycle go where all of the fruits and vegetables die and where I have several months of nothing growing or do I fork out over $1000 for a heater to keep the greenhouse going around? I really want to keep the underground garden alive this year.
Also, in this video I’ll show you the full cycle of temperature swings in the greenhouse over a 24 hour time.
Currently in the underground greenhouse, I have grapefruits, oranges, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and potatoes growing. The underground garden is thriving for now but winter is coming and the cold temperatures could start to kill things off. I’m trying several things To keep temperatures warm in the Walipini.
