Roasted garlic & vanilla ice cream - A while back a friend told me they tried garlic ice cream and that it tasted good. Well, you know I had to try! Turns out it IS pretty good!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of 2% milk
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 roasted garlic bulb
- 2 Tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 Tsp of salt
- Ice to cool the custard
The easiest way to set is to just use a mold and consume as a popsicle, but if you want traditional ice cream scoops you’ll have to either use an ice cream machine, or whisk for 10 mins, chill for 30mins, and repeat 3-4 times before eventually freezing.
