Webull vs Robinhood investing app. This video is mainly for beginners who are looking to dabble in the stock market but hasn’t yet started. You’ve might have heard of the name Webull and Robinhood being tossed around before, and that you should start signing up with a broker if you want to invest. That’s true. There are many brokers out there, but today, I’m going to mainly talk about Webull and Robinhood because a lot of people talk about it and of course there’s pros and cons about each of them. I’m going to go over their trading fees, Investment options, trading platform, research, and give you an idea of which platform would be ideal for you.
1. Both platforms don’t require a minimum deposit, which is good because you can start out with a couple of bucks if you just want to test out the these investing apps.
2. Both of them don’t charge a commission nor a fee trading stocks, ETFs, or options.
3. Webull doesn’t offer fractional shares, but Robinhood does. Meaning that you can buy any stock for just $1 if you wanted.
4. Robinhood allows dividend reinvestment where as Webull doesn’t. This means that if you get dividends from a stock, it’ll just be reinvested back to the stock allowing your portfolio to automatically grow on its own. Which is pretty cool. It’s call passive investing.
5. Both of them offers option trading.
6. Webull currently doesn’t offer crypto trading, but Robinhood does. So, if you’re looking to trade crypto currencies then Robinhood would be ideal for you.
7. Webull offers Traditional, Roth, and Roll Over IRAs, and Robinhood doesn’t. So, if you’re looking to part money for retirement, then Webull is probably a better option.
8. No Forex trading on both apps.
9. Both of them offers a web platform so you can get a better view of everything all at once instead of looking at it on a small screen on your phone.
10. Webull is that it allows you to paper trade, basically you’ll be able to play with fake money and not worry about risking your own money. But Robinhood does not.
11. Webull has a community of users where they can come together and talk about stocks and share their own insight on the platform itself. Which is pretty unique. Unfortunately, Robinhood doesn’t offer that.
12. But they both offer extended-hour trading.
13. Robinhood is known to be the OG of simple investing. Like you can just get the app, sign up and you can start investing because its user interface is simple. It doesn’t have a lot of data, stats, or charts to make things too hectic. But Webull on the other hand, offers a ton more research and data for its users compare to Robinhood. So, it might be a little intimidating for users when they first open the app, but once you know where things are located, it’s simple to use. I have a full review and a breakdown of the Webull app if you’re interested:

14. Robinhood does offer a debit card, so that means that you can basically use your investment money to buy things. Webull on the other hand doesn’t.
So now after knowing both of these apps which one would be ideal for you? This is going to be subjective but if you like simple stuff and don’t have a lot of money to start investing, I think Robinhood would be ideal for you since the main focus here is simplicity and having the benefit of buying any stocks for just a dollar is a big plus. Then you can get a taste of how investing feels like. It’s pretty much addicting once you see your money grow.
But if you are the type that thinks investing is going to be for the long run and want to get more involve with your stocks, then Webull might be a better option for you. They offer more research than Robinhood and also retirement accounts for your retirement. And if you can’t make a choice, why not get both to test it out. You can use one for its tools and the other one for its fractional shares, since both of them are free and requires no minimum deposit unless you want to get a free stock from them. And speaking of free stock, if you do sign up with them, Robinhood offers one free stock and Webull offers another one that could be value up to $1600.
