Police in Monterey Park responded to reports of a mass shooting in a commercial area near the location of a large Chinese Lunar New Year celebration Saturday night.
According to RMG News, a shooting took place at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at 122. West Garvey Avenue. The freelance news outlet and videographers from the scene cited police scanner chatter indicating more than 10 people had been wounded, but Patch could not confirm the number of injuries as of 12:30 a.m.
