Lyrics:
Tonight
I'm gonna cry myself to sleep
Another day, another week
And I'm still all alone
Saturday night
I'm all alone
I don't have a date
I'm just sitting home
The radio's playing
The top tunes tonight
(Play me a sad song)
Oh, a sad song
(Please mister DJ)
Let me hear some soul
(Play me a sad song)
Oh, tonight
I wanna go
Where the other kids go
I wanna do
What the other kids do
But I've got nobody
To hold me tight
(Play me a sad song)
(Please mister DJ)
Let me hear some soul
(Play me a sad song)
Oh, tonight
Don't want to hear a lullabye
I can't sleep
I just sit and cry
Play me a sad song
A song of love
'Cause that's all
I'm thinking of
Sitting here crying
Won't get me a boy
No it won't end my sorrow
Won't bring me joy
Oh, what's the use
Guess I'll turn off the light
(Play me a sad song)
Oh, a sad song
(Please mister DJ)
Please mister DJ
(Play me a sad song)
A sad song
