Alex Peahl, M.D., M.Sc., is an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her research focuses on how to improve the delivery of reproductive health care, and she is a nationally recognized expert on prenatal care redesign. In this video, she explains how a new model of prenatal care, called MiPATH, was designed to incorporate maternal medical care, education, and support that is better tailored to patients’ needs. This model is the first update of prenatal guidelines in almost 100 years.
