In order to ensure safe operation and protect investments, ifm has developed the patented 3D sensor system O3M that guarantees a user-friendly handling of airport apron vehicles by means of a trendsetting technology.
With more than 1,000 individual measurements, the O3M detects precisely the target area of the self-propelled passenger stairs or of the conveyor vehicle loading the luggage. It thus serves as a positioning and docking aid that also supports the vehicle control up to the point of automatic braking.
