STORYLINE:
Indonesia's former dictator Suharto has been diagnosed with intestinal bleeding and is likely to remain in hospital for a few more days, his doctor said on Tuesday.
The 83-year-old on Monday was admitted to the government-owned Pertamina Hospital though his doctor said his condition was not life threatening.
Suharto was previously hospitalised for the same condition.
The former strongman, who ruled Indonesia for 32 years, has suffered a number of health problems, including two strokes since being forced to resign in 1998.
On Saturday, Suharto visited his son, Tommy, who was allowed out of prison for an operation to remove a tumour behind his eye.
Tommy was imprisoned in 2002 for ordering the murder of a supreme court justice who had earlier convicted him of corruption in a multi-million dollar land deal.
Authorities have attempted to put Suharto on trial for alleged corruption, but the courts have ruled that he is mentally and physically unfit to endure proceedings.
