Always willing and ready for a fight, the Barracuda is the perennial day-saver. From inches to pushing 100lbs, I have seen them all and I can assure you their attitude does not improve with age (nor do their looks!). Small ones can make great eats on occasion with minimal ciguatera risk but, there are possible bioaccumulation risks for us just as for the fish but, it tastes great. Once the skin is removed and rinsed with saltwater, the smell disappears. Bigger fish like this one are my favorite snapper bait, less of a shark attractant than the bonita we use states side. If someone says the tissick (mutton) snapper are biting, then you need to catch a cuda before you can start to bottom fish and if it is hurricane season, then yes they are biting...
ENJOY
