On December 1, 2020, Beck Institute celebrated the release of two highly-anticipated new texts from our experts and their colleagues: Cognitive Behavior Therapy: Basics and Beyond, Third Edition by Judith S. Beck, PhD and Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy for Serious Mental Health Conditions by Aaron T. Beck, MD, Paul Grant, PhD, Ellen Inverso, PsyD, Aaron P. Brinen, PsyD, and Dimitri Perivoliotis, PhD.
The virtual book launch brought together a small group to hear about the new material and the authors’ writing processes. Dr. Judith Beck highlighted the new additions to her book, including new case studies and expanded case examples, as well as access to a companion website full of downloadable resources, videos of full therapy sessions, and more. Dr. Aaron Beck, Dr. Paul Grant, and Dr. Ellen Inverso, co-developers and pioneers of Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), gave insight into their groundbreaking work and a vision for their book’s role in helping support caregivers for individuals diagnosed with serious mental health conditions, from clinicians to family members and those without a clinical background.
