Lew's been a big Calvados fan since the mid-1980s, and of course, apple brandy has a lot of 'brown spirit' similarities to whiskey. So we pulled 2 French apple spirits, 2 classics from American apple brandy maker Laird's, and 4 craft apple brandies from Rootstock, Spirits of French Lick, and our local Barrel 21 for an apple brandy tasting.
