The chorus against the apathy is growing louder. 7 years ago, Colonel Vasant Venugopal, the brave Commanding Officer of 9 Maratha Light Infantry, silenced eight terrorists and in the fight made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. But today, his valour has been shamed. The complete apathy forces the martyr's widow Subhashini to run from pillar to post to get her due. And, after Major Iqbal Mohammad Ghori, got martyred in J&K during Operation Rakshak in 2001, his wife is running from pillar to post for a piece of land.
