STORYLINE:
Ukrainian soldiers are using German-made self-propelled Panzerhaubitze 2000 artillery to hit Russian positions near Bakhmut.
Ukrainian officer, who goes by the nom de guerre "Voron", said his men need all the weapons they can get.
“There is no bad weapon if it kills your enemy. It's good because it's precise, quick, mobile and safe", he added.
As the Ukrainian army prepare to launch a counter-offensive, the Defense Ministry said its troops have liberated about 20 square kilometers (nearly 8 square miles) on Bakhmut's outskirts and continue to advance along its flanks.
Russia’s military in Ukraine is bracing itself for a looming counter-offensive by Kyiv’s forces, which hasn’t started yet but could begin “tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or in a week, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, told reporters on Saturday.
