There is few hot water springs in Tapovan area. All are nearby Tapovan except one near to Badrinath.
Tapovan hot water Spring is 20 kilometre from Auli (XRA Cottage)
Tapovan is very small town situated near river Dholi Ganga. You can get Tea/coffee or some Dhabas here.
if you are interested in pilgrimage you can visit some of old temples also here.

Hot springs are formed when rain or water from melting snow goes below Earth's surface as groundwater, until hitting solid rock and collecting in pools, or aquifers. Magma heats this water, which then rises back up to the surface through cracks in the earth's crust, called vents, forming a hot water spring.
