See how a perfect hinge cut out is made using the TIDY TRADIE Router Jig 2.0 and a DeWalt plunge router.

By aligning the jig flush to the doors edge, I can then make quick minor adjustments working with the hinge positioning gauge.

A tip is to set the template shy of your 8mm pencil line, just while you test the first cut. Once happy with the positioning, you're then set to make accurate repetitive cut outs using a plunge router.

The recommended router set up is to use a 16mm copy ring and a 12mm cutter.

There is no need to wear a face mask, thanks to the innovative dust extraction port.

Quick, neat and tidy cuts are what you want.
