In this video, we will be talking about the Honda CR-V! So clearly, you don't want to miss out on this, and so, without further ado, let's start with today's video.
The Honda CR-V has its roots that go back to 2017, after its last redesign. It is expected to be redesigned again for 2023 and should launch in the middle of 2022. Till then, the CR-V will come with the same standard engine. The Honda CR-V comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque along with 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors, the CR-V Hybrid provides 212 horsepower, making it more fun.
The Honda CR-V can go from 0 to 60 mph in about 8.2 seconds with the base engine. The handling of the CR-V is responsive, and the body roll is well controlled, making the Honda CR-V a pretty smooth ride. The CR-V gets an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in the city and up to 34 mpg on the highway, which is above average. The hybrid CR-V increases these figures to 40 mpg in the city and up to 35 mpg on the road.
Nothing changed for the 2021 model. Honda has saved the changes for the 2022 model. 2020 saw the standardization of turbo 1.5-litre engine, tweaked exterior styling, and more advanced driver aids on each trim level which was a smart move. For 2022, buyers can expect the turbo 1.5-L and continuously variable automatic transmission to be still equipped, but the design sports a two-tiered grille. For now, buyers will have to settle with the single-tier that adorns the 2021 CR-V model. It is already a beautiful vehicle and not all that dated, to begin with.
The Honda CR-V is mostly adequate for daily commutes and family road trips. You can have fun cruising around, as well, given that the CVT shifts smoothly between gears. And, yes, the fuel efficiency is respectable with 30 mpg combined on the front-wheel drive.
Aside from being fuel-efficient, the Honda CR-V is quite spacious. The seats of the CR-V are easy to fold down, and plenty of storage trays are available.
The Honda CR-V has excellent safety ratings too. So, the CR-V provides tons of value with a spacious interior, a good fuel economy, along with excellent safety ratings, making the CR-V a pretty promising compact SUV so far.
Hondas are very well known for giving their potential buyers and fans just the right type of ride comfort, and the Honda CR-V definitely. The line-topping Touring trim CR-V comes with beefy 19-inch wheels and shorter tire sidewalls, but even then, the CR-V's ride quality does not get compromised. The rough, broken, jagged road surfaces are handled with absolute ease, and the suspension of the CR-V basically takes care of dispatching.
And the Honda CR-V is also a segment leader in their signature cargo space.
Basically overall, the Honda CR-V's driving performance is impeccable. The CR-V's handling?
If you are an interested buyer, you can skip over the base LX trim level which we assume many buyers will, as you can access a ton of standard infotainment features on the Honda CR-V's EX trim level.
So is the Honda CR-V a Good SUV?
Well yes, the CR-V is a good SUV.
And how much does the CR-V cost for an interested buyer? The CR-V has the base price of $25,750. That is a typical starting price for a compact SUV. The top ranging CR-V costs $33,550.
The CR-V does just about everything well. Most rivals have more infotainment tech, and some are more fun to drive, but the CR-V is one of the best all-around in the compact SUV class.
