'A Window & A Mirror' out on Joyful Noise Recordings. Order Here - [ Ссылка ]
Presenting one of the most elaborate artifacts Joyful Noise has ever produced: Joan of Arc's A Window & A Mirror. This collection encapsulates the first era of Joan of Arc and its origins (the "Jade Tree Years").
As the 1990's edged toward the year 2000 Tim Kinsella walked away from the popular music genre known as "Emo" that he helped, almost unwittingly, to invent with Cap'n Jazz. Following that departure he threw himself into the boldest, most radical way of working that he could approach at any given time: staying out at the edge of the possible.
At the time Joan of Arc was crucified by the critical establishment, but in the years since these albums have proven to be profoundly influential. Joan of Arc now stands out as one of the most challenging experiments in art and music of the era. With A Window & A Mirror, we worked closely with Tim Kinsella to painstakingly re-assemble every element of the band from this period.
