There's no way around it; it's win, and you're in for the Dallas Cowboys.
On Sunday, the Cowboys will renew their once heated rivalry, and one of my favorite rivalries of all-time, with the hated Washington Redskins. This game has a ton of history behind it, and it's for the right to represent the NFC East in the playoffs.

If you recall, at about the halfway point of the season neither the Redskins nor the Cowboys were doing very well in terms of winning games. It even led Redskins coach Mike Shanahan to publicly criticize his team, but now here they are getting ready for their Sunday night showdown.

A year ago, could you have predicted Cowboys vs. Redskins for the NFC East in the last regular season game? Me either.

Lately, the Cowboys have been playing lights out on offense. In fact, prior to Sunday's overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Cowboys were on a three game win streak thanks to the execution on offense and late-game heroics.

The defense, however, has had to endure the loss of six starters and the constant addition of new linebackers and defensive backs. Rob Ryan has had to adjust his defense and play different starters in almost every game this season. Kudos to Ryan for making it happen, but I still don't want to see DeMarcus Ware in pass coverage or chasing tight ends around. He's one of the most feared pass rushers for a reason; deploy him as such, please.

The revival of the Cowboys vs. Redskins rivalry on Sunday is going to answer a lot of questions about both franchises. Will Tony Romo finally get rid of the "can't come through in the clutch" label, or will Robert Griffin III's legacy continue to grow?

If the Cowboys lose, is it time to admit that Romo will not lead the Cowboys to a championship? Should Jason Garrett be fired, after another 8-8 season where his team misses the chance to advance to the playoffs in the final game of the season? Should Ryan be back?

Big time players and coaches earn their stripes in pressure situations; it's time for these Cowboys to make a statement, and it starts on Sunday at Fed Ex Field in Landover, Maryland.
