- Awesome and fun for parents
This was a blast for me to do with my 5 year old son. We made it and let it sit, came back to decorate it, and then explode it! Super easy and awesome! He could do almost the entire thing with just some assistance from me the parent. We added different colors to the explosions! We used it repeatedly and will co to use to use. It’s been fun!

This science kit is amazing! We have chosen to do one or two and then save more for a other day. So far, the magnetic putty is so much fun! It bounces and you can watch it reach for the magnet! The sculpting sand and play sand are so much fun too! It is so therapeutic to let the sand just fall through your fingers. The kids enjoyed making all the little molds with it as well. There is one that is a little difficult to make and keep shape, but it's good to have a challenge for them. Next will be the hydrophobic sand... Kids are looking forward to it. 😊🎊 I will look into buying a different kit in a month or so. *Tip* place a mat or newspaper or paper towels under your play area to catch the extra the falls. It makes for an easier clean up and you don't loose as much.

On second note, the plaster setup before I could even get it poured into mold. Instructions are incorrect!

Well they sent an email and I responded, another volcano kit was sent. I didn't use all the plaster or wait for the full min. Pour was successful, the instructions need to be revised!

My son is 12 and I thought he might not like this. He absolutely loved the whole box. It was wonderful time, even dad joined in the fun. He was so excited he called his grandparents to tell them about it.

Electricity from potatoes! The instruction booklet could have better production values, some minor quibbles about the design of the clock, but this is a solid science set. Really is STEM, unlike many boxes of fun neat stuff that add STEM as a feel-good buying come-on.
It's one thing to read about batteries, about chemical energy. But to move the metal cathode/anode sticks in the morning because the circuit had run out of (potato) juice really makes the ideas concrete. Pretty dang cool. Hope my photograph helps you see what it really looks like.

This National Geographic electricity and battery making kit is very thorough. It comes with so many added pieces, you’re children are sure to experience success with their energy making experiments. I got this for my inquisitive seventh grade homeschooler and will definitely use it regularly as apart of our hands-on lessons.

My youngest grandson got the first kit and his volcano was spectacular. I ordered a kit for the next oldest grandson and our first project, the crystal, was way better than I expected. We do the volcano tomorrow.
