i have used nylon clear thread (also known as monofilament and fishing line) in this video

both ways work for all types of thread, though crimping is best to use on beading/stringing wire, as it may cut the thread - so be careful.

for the beginner method, make sure to knot 3 times for security - since nylon is slippery, it can unknot easier

method 1 - easy - no tools needed
- make sure to tie three knots for security and make sure your jump ring is closed tight / all the way

chain nose or crimping pliers
to crimp the crimp bead / tube
gold plated 2x2 tube used in video
gold plated 3mm crimp cover bead used in video
cover can be closed with chain nose or nylon jaw pliers
this method is also for attaching a clasp to bead stringing wire
