The most popular dessert of the last days is undoubtedly cold baklava in Turkey. Unlike regular baklava, cold baklava contains milk, chocolate and less syrup. Great recipe indeed!🤤
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1.5 cups granulated sugar
Lemon juice
2 cups milk
Clarified butter/butter
20 phyllo dough
2- 3 cups ground hazelnuts
1 tablespoon cocoa
80 grams grated chocolate
Steps:
Transfer lemon juice, water and sugar in a pot.
When sugar melts and syrup begins to boil, remove from heat.
Add milk when warm.
Brush the baklava tin with butter.
Arrange half of phyllo sheets by applying butter between them.
Sprinkle ground hazelnuts on top.
Place remaining sheets on top of each other in same way by applying butter between them.
Slice the baklava into square slices.
Pour the remaining butter on over.
Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40 minutes.
Cool down gradually.
Pour syrup over with a ladle.
Rest it 2 hours.
Sprinkle cocoa and hazelnuts over the slices.
