Grand Solo Op.14 by Fernando Sor (1778 - 1839) is played here by Alex Timmerman on a guitar made by Louis Panormo in 1842 in London. The guitar model that is used here is Panormo's Spanish style guitar. Louis Panormo, as is printed at his guitar labels, claimed to be 'The only Maker of Guitars in the Spanish Style'. For this recording Alex Timmerman arranged Fernando Sor's Grand Solo using the scores by Sor, Aguado and Castro.
