TIMES NOW's campaign against the VVIP culture has turned into a national movement. The channel has raised its voice, taken on these VVIP racists and citizens have joined the campaign and spoken out. While in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Miniser Devendra Fadnavis has promised TIMES NOW that he will start an enquiry. Fadnavis expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to people when traffic policemen stalled movement of public vehicles to make way for his convoy, and insisted that he shuns VIP culture. Fadnavis also apologised for the ruckus outside a Mumbai club where policemen jostled with members to prevent their entry as the CM was present inside the premises. Traffic policemen at the NSCI club had last night stopped private vehicles to make way for the CM's convoy and video footage showed them grappling with some of the club members, including an elderly person.

Opposition Congress and NCP, however, said mere apology by the Chief Minister will not remedy the situation and demanded a mechanism to avoid such incidents in future. Fadnavis said, "My sincere apologies to those who were stopped by the police unnecessarily. People in the state have always seen me stopping at traffic signals." "I would make inquiry into the NSCI incident...unless there is an emergency or real threat perception inputs, police shouldn't trouble people," he tweeted. "I don't believe in VIP culture," he said. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah - the man who doesn't fail to keep his date with controversy also joined the list of notorious Chief Ministers. He said, "Your channel is doing great job but people have to bear it."
