Kate heads to the studio to try out her DIY flat lap using a small electric pottery wheel and 7" diamond pads to polish rock slabs and end pieces. The setup costs less than a regular flat lapidary machines, and works pretty well. Be sure to stay tuned to the end, where Kate does battle with one of her cats as she tries to take pictures of the finished pieces! :D
