US president Donald Trump has defended his decision to withdraw from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty (INF) with Russia during his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening. 'We will never apologise for advancing America's interests,' Trump said. Trump also announced he would hold a two-day summit with North Korea leader Kim Jong Un on February 27 to 28 in Vietnam to try to convince him to give up his nuclear weapons programme. Trump has said that his outreach to Kim and their first meeting last June in Singapore opened a path to peace.
