The Battambang Bat Caves, Cambodia. It’s something of a spectacle sitting at the foot of Battambang’s Phnom Sampeou, the sun sinking into the horizon as a stream of millions of bats pouring out from the cave and zooming across the sky.
So, we paid a visit to the 'Bat Cave' in Battambang, as we were told that 1,000,000 bats lived in the cave, and each night they would swarm out of the cave and feed on the insects at night.
I thought that it would be a good idea to climb up the bamboo scaffolding that was erected next to the bat cave, as this would give me the best view of the bats as they left their cave.
Unfortunately, the monkeys were on duty that night, and I didn't feel brave enough to be swinging around the bamboo scaffold while the monkeys were all around.
