Usually, the first instinct of rape and sexual assault victims is to blame themselves and feel burdened with the mistrust of how society will accept them when they decide to tell their story. This is not surprising as the general populace has mapped out acceptable scenarios.
But this is the wrong perception, as we have lots of scenarios where rape can be said to have occurred. There is a rape culture thriving in our society and enough attention is not being given to it. Tunde-Adedipe Femi, an activist against rape explains the different types of scenarios and how to support the victims of rape.
