Friday! Last day of our Painting from an Open Drawing Week! Today's drawing is... unnecessary? I think that one of the coolest lessons during this week was acknowledging that the conditions I thought were indispensable for making paintings are not at all essential. It's incredible discovering that we can be painters when all the variables that we're convinced are needed to making paintings are gone and we realize that when left by our lonesome selves, we can very much so paint. It is SO empowering to realize that!!! Today the almost unavoidable conclusion to this exercise had to be a SP. There's no need for mirrors, photos or drawings when I accept that I know nothing better in this universe than I know myself.
