However, after that fight, he would struggle to put together a meaningful win streak, but at UFC 76, he fought UFC legend Shogun Rua and pulled off an upset submission.
That would earn him a title shot against knockout artist, Rampage Jackson, where he would show he belonged at the top, and get the judges nod to become the light heavyweight champion of the world.
