'I'm in good shape': Biden questions his mental and physical health
Joe Biden has strongly defended his fitness for the office, although he removed the name of his own vice president in his first answer.
President Joe Biden strongly defended his fitness for office in a high-profile news conference Thursday night, raising some questions about his age and calling for him to resign.

"I think I'm the most qualified person to run for president," he said, adding that he believes he is the best candidate to defeat former President Donald Trump in November. "I beat him Once, I will beat him again."

Early in the press conference, in a moment immediately seized upon by his opponent Donald Trump, he blurted out the name of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Mr. Biden has defended himself against questions about his health and whether he can continue to work actively for another term.

Biden said he has taken three "significant and intense neurological tests," most recently in February, and would only take another test if his doctors recommended it. “They said I was in good shape,” he said.
