Many consider Ruby Beach to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the Olympic Peninsula. It is known for its abundant driftwood, stunning sunsets, and wild and rocky shores. The beach is part of the larger Kalaloch area, providing almost 20 miles of rugged and dramatic coastline to explore. The beach is bounded in the north by the mouth of the Hoh River, just a 2-mile walk from the main Ruby Beach access point. Numerous sea stacks dot the coastline, including Destruction Island and Abbey Island. Ruby Beach is a place to step away from the busy road and appreciate the isolated splendor of the Washington coast.
