This is an instant lemon pickle recipe.
It is very easy to prepare.
It will not stay for long time in room temperature.you have to finish it with in 5 days.If you keep it in the fridge it may stay for more than 10 days.It is a perfect combination with kerala sadya and biriyani.
You can follow the same procedure to make Kerala sadya pickle with wild lemon(vadukapuli naranga)
If you use lime( cheru narananga) in the place of lemon ,no need to remove the peel
Ingredients:
Lemon( fresh& yellow)--- 5
Garlic-6 cloves
Green chillies-2
Curry leaves
Kashmiri chilli powder--1 1/2 tbs
Red chilli powder---1/2 tsp
Asafoetida--1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder--1/4 tsp
Fenugreek powder---1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds--1 tsp
Sesame oil--2 tbs
Water( boiled and cool) ----150 ml
Sugar--1/4 tsp-1/2 tsp
Vinegar --1/2 tsp(optional)
Salt to taste.
