Petro Poroshenko has cut short his visit to the World Economic Forum in Switzerland because of the escalation in fighting in Ukraine’s east. The decision was made after regular Russian troops began an offensive against Ukrainian troops west of Luhansk, according to reports from a top military commander. ((V4)) Natalie Jaresko, Ukraine’s Finance Minister will remain at the international forum, to discuss reforms in Ukraine and attract financial support.
