This special version of the World Shared Practice Forum features speakers from the monthly International PICU COVID-19 Collaborative meeting hosted by Dr. Jeffrey Burns. This is a cutting-edge worldwide online collaboration in which the latest knowledge and best practices relating to COVID-19 are shared among front-line clinicians in real-time.
This month, we are featuring discussions from the September 5, 2020 meeting, focused on the epidemiology and treatment of MIS-C. First, Dr. Michael Levin discusses the influx of new literature surrounding MIS-C. This is followed by an expert panel discussion featuring members of the American College of Rheumatology Task Force on MIS-C, where they review the recent clinical guidance for the treatment of pediatric patients with MIS-C and answer clinical management questions from the Collaborative members.
Following this presentation, viewers should be able to:
- Discuss current global trends in COVID-19 treatments.
- Understand the nuances of MIS-C, based on recent literature.
- Describe currently available clinical practice guidance for COVID-19 related MIS-C.
