I’ve bought this game in 2011, not in spring when it was released but in summer. Before that I played X-Men vs Street Fighter on PS1 a lot, but I’ve never touched Marvel vs Capcom series. When i found out about the third game i was eager to get it since i am a Marvel fan and there were familiar Capcom characters like Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Dante, Trish. It’s scary for me to think how many hours i spent in this game. It’s super fun with many cool characters, memorable arenas and music, plus Galactus as a final boss. After some time I bought Ultimate Edition with new characters like Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, Vergil, Nemesis. Though the balance is not perfect (some characters feel too strong like Wesker or Dante and some feel too weak like Phoenix or Magneto) and there are way too many flashy special effects I still enjoyed this game a lot and sometimes choose my three fighter to be the out of season Santa “Kick Ass” Clause.
