This is a super easy but delicious recipe you need to make for your salads this summer!
All you need is apple cider vinegar and Pineapple weed, or “Gatkamomill” like we say in Sweden! 🌿
I saw a post from @neonatur and @lena_flaten where they had combined these two ingredients, I tried it and loved it! 😋
A super fresh and easy way to amplify your salads and to make use of what the nature has to offer!🍀
All you need to do is fill a bottle with apple cider vinegar and Pineapple weed and let it set for about 2 weeks before you strain it!🔆
Pineapple weed (Matricaria discoidea) is also commonly known by other names, such as wild chamomile, disc mayweed, and rayless chamomile.
The name “pineapple weed” comes from the plant’s distinctive pineapple-like aroma, which is released when its leaves and flowers are crushed.
The flowers of pineapple weed are edible and can be used in salads, herbal teas, or as a garnish. They have a mildly sweet and fruity flavor, with subtle notes reminiscent of chamomile.
Pineapple weed has been used traditionally for medicinal purposes by various indigenous cultures. It is believed to have mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, and the dried flower heads have been used to make herbal teas that may aid in relaxation and digestion.
Additionally, the plant can be used topically to soothe minor skin irritations.🌿
Soon I’ll upload another recipe using this wild herb, a sugary drink/syrup. So make sure to save this recipe and follow so you don’t miss out!🌞🧡
