This pre-owned Santa Cruz D/PW guitar (Dreadnought, pre-war) was customized with a beautiful sunburst top, herringbone trim and a Brazilian Rosewood bridge and headstock overlay. It is in exceptionally clean shape with only minimal signs of wear and superficial scratches that need to be searched for in the right light to be found. The design of this guitar distinguishes it from most other spruce and rosewood dreadnoughts: the pre-war bracing makes it exceptionally open and responsive, the bass is very present but doesn't overwhelm the overall balance, and the trebles are thicker and more musical. The guitar is so responsive that I find it just as satisfying to play fingerstyle as I do to strum or flat-pick. The body depth is slightly slimmer than other dreadnoughts, making it more comfortable to hold, but without sacrificing volume or bass. This is a remarkable and rewarding instrument!
