We were getting the Amber Slow Down light along with a F1 Failure light on our Ferrari F430. It turns out that the Amber Slow Down Light is caused by the E-Diff, or Electronic Differential. As the F430 ages, some of the components are going to start failing more often, and one that seems to fail with some regularity is the E-Diff. The solenoid on it can fail, but it also can start having issues from various other problems including the F1 pump/accumulator, not enough hydraulic pressure, or even just wearing out the friction materials. So we purchased a Scuding Swiss E-Diff controller to permanently disable the E-Diff when we have the car set to different driving modes. You can purchase the controller at the link below.
