An Airfix 1/72 Spitfire F Mk 22. This variant never saw action during WW2, but nonetheless a handsome aircraft in it's silver livery and 5 bladed prop, powered by a Rolls Royce Griffon engine.
The only criticism I have of this kit (and it's a major one) is the impossible task of glueing the 2 fuselage halves together with the grossly over-sized cockpit assembly sandwiched in-between them. A totally impossible feat that I've highlighted in the video. Others on YouTube have encountered the same problem with this kit. I had to remove parts and shave others down to get it to fit. I've been building these kits on and off since 1981 and it's not the first time that I've encountered this particular problem with Airfix. Maybe I'll buy Tamiya next time ?
Other than the above issue, the kit went together well, with minimal flash on the components.
