This song debuted in 1971 on the album Aqualung. It was written by Ian Anderson about the overpopulation of the world and capitalism at that time. Some say the lyrics of the song "Locomotive Breath" do not refer to overpopulation, but more about a man who is estranged from his children, whose wife is having an affair, and who is devoid of any type of knowledge or morals. Anyway, it's a great song and Clive Bunker on drums adds a nice selection of tom fills.
