Juno's ASC instrument, or Advanced Stellar Compass, took a series of pictures of the moon eclipsing the Earth from Juno's point of view as Juno returns to the Earth for a gravity assist. Juno's closest approach to the Earth is about 19:21:00 UTC on Wednesday, the 9th of October, 2013.
This simulation shows Juno as it approaches the Earth. The rotation speed of Juno is slowed for aesthetic purposes. At 2 rpm, Juno would look like a blurry fan during this time-lapse. Also, the Earth and Moon have been scaled up for visual purposes. The real data has the Earth only 5-10 pixels wide during the eclipse.
