This video is meant to document some of the operations and activities associated with the departure of Amtrak's southbound Auto Train #53 from its northern terminus in Lorton, Virginia in October 1988. Included are scenes of the train leaving the terminal and heading for the RF&P Railroad mainline for the trip south to Florida. Also included are scenes of the terminal area and assembly of the train.
